Agape-Roots:

A 15-Hectar Permaculture Fruit Forest, Organic Cinnamon Plantation, and Eco-Farmstay — Cultivating a Physical Sanctuary of Rest and Renewal.

Thank you for seeking out this space. If you have been directed to this hidden page, it is because our journeys have crossed through a shared desire to steward the earth and serve a deeper purpose.

Beyond our public identity as an Eco-Farmstay (Glamping & Agro-Tourism) and a Permaculture Fruitforest / organic & fair trade Cinnamon Project, our farm is founded on a quiet, foundational mission: to provide a physical sanctuary of rest, renewal, and restoration for frontline faith workers and missionary families with kids laboring across Sri Lanka.

When you volunteer with us, you aren’t just clearing weeds or building infrastructure—you are actively helping us construct a place of refuge for those who give their lives to serving others.

Our True Heart & Vision

“He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.” — Psalm 23:2-3

Agape-Roots is a 15-hectar property intentionally positioned in the remote beauty of Monaragala. We believe that true spiritual renewal is deeply tied to stepping into God’s untamed Creation. Our family’s calling is to cultivate this land as an atmosphere of absolute peace, clean living, and hard physical labor that clears the mind and strengthens the spirit.

We do not run public crusades or loud events. Instead, we practice the quiet ministry of hospitality—offering a hidden space where weary workers can disconnect from the front lines, bathe in crystal-clear mountain streams, and find their strength again.

Your Sanctuary: The Volunteer Annex

We believe that those who work hard deserve a safe, clean, and refreshing place to rest. You will be living in our dedicated volunteer home, designed to foster genuine Christian community and deep personal reflection.

A Glimpse of the Annex & Grounds

  1. The Dorm Space: The spacious 65-square-meter secure layout with clean linen and mosquito nets.
  2. The Porch: The large wooden table and hammocks overlooking the reflection pond.
  3. The Bathrooms: The hot-water rain shower and local squad toilet.
  4. The Wilderness Camping Clearings: Safe clearings near the infrastructure (toilethouse/showers/mainhouse or remote spots with mountainviews for those wanting total solitude with their Bible and a tent.

The Call: Full Energy & Full Joy

We are looking for brothers and sisters who bring a spirit of “full energy” to the field. Farming in a tropical jungle requires grit, resilience, and a willing heart. Whether we are waking up at sunrise to plant organic cinnamon before the heat hits, building a river dam, or cooking over an open fire, we do it all as unto the Lord.

Who Thrives Here:

  • The Servant Heart: Those who see weeding, cleaning, or cutting grass as an act of worship and stewardship.
  • The Solitude Seeker: Individuals who thrive in remote environments, using their afternoons for deep reading, prayer, and quiet exploration without needing worldly entertainment.
  • The Skilled Builder: Disciples with hands-on talents in carpentry, welding, or masonry who want to use their trade to build up this physical sanctuary.

Final Application: Joining the Journey

Because space in the Annex is strictly limited to 6–8 people to preserve the peace of the property, we vet our team carefully. If your heart resonates with this vision, please write us to
